Is there any team better team than the University of Delaware women’s basketball team right now? I do not think so because this team can beat opponents in so many different ways and they play fundamentally sound basketball. Also, when the offense struggles in a game, the defense steps up and gets the win.
The defense was the key for the 66-55 victory over the Drexel University Dragons on Sunday as the Hens record moved to 16-2 on the season. Delaware is also 13-1 against Colonial Athletic Association opponents this year, which is the most conference wins since their 2012-2013 season where the team had 18.

The leading scorer in the win for the Blue Hens was junior guard/forward Jasmine Dickey, who had 25 points.
Redshirt junior forward Ty Battle recorded her 12th double-double of the season in the win with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (32-20), points off turnovers (19-11), second-chance points (20-6), bench points (9-4), rebounds (44-31), turnovers (14-19) and steals (8-7).
