The University of Delaware women’s basketball team continued their winning ways on Friday as the team defeated the Drexel University Dragons 68-60. This win also marks the first time the Hens have beaten the Dragons in six years.

The leading scorer in the win for the Blue Hens was redshirt junior forward Ty Battle, who recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Two other Blue Hens players scored in double digits, which were junior guard/forward Jasmine Dickey (11) and senior forward Lizzie Oleary (11).
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (40-28), second-chance points (20-7), fast-break points (9-7), bench points (16-10), rebounds (48-36), assists (14-12), blocks (5-0), and steals (7-6).
The Hens also had the advantage in shooting as well, with the team shooting 40.6 %(26-64) and Drexel shooting 34.3 % (23-67). Blue Hens made sure to make their time at the free-throw line count as the team shot 92.3 % (12-13). The Dragons shot 88.9 % (8-9) at the free-throw line in the game.
