Delaware Sports Blitz will be showcasing student-athletes performances from this past season each week.
Each week we will look at different colleges from the state of Delaware and showcase their athlete’s performance in the chosen sport of the week.
This week is all about Wilmington’s women’s basketball team which will continue with sophomore guard Kiara Eubanks.
Eubanks averaged 11 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, 2.8 assists per game and two steals per game in 34.0 minutes per game in 24 games this season. The sophomore guard led the team in steals per game this season.
The Accokeek, Maryland native was among the best in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in points per game, as Eubanks placed in the top 30 ( ranked 26th) with 11 points per game. The Wilmington guard was also in the top 40 ( ranked 38th) in rebounds per game in the CACC with 4.5. Eubanks also placed in the top 15 ( ranked 15th) in assists per game in the conference with 2.8. The sophomore guard also placed seventh in steals per game in the CACC with two.

Eubanks Scores A Season-High 23 Points In 70-69 Loss Vs Goldey-Beacom
Wilmington would lose a tough one-point game to their in-state rival Goldey Beacom on December 21st.
Eubanks scored a season-high 23 points in the game.
Wilmington Ends 11-Game Losing Streak To Capture First Win
On January 4th, the Wildcats would earn their first victory of the season by defeating Bloomfield 66-59.
Eubanks had nine points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal in the first win.
Wildcats Fall To Georgian Court
WilmU would lose a close one against Georgian Court with a score of 78-77 on January 8th.
Eubanks would tie her season-high of 23 points in this loss.
Wildcats Snap Three-Game Losing Streak With Win Vs Felician
Wilmington needed to find a way to get off a tough three-game losing streak which an 89-59 win over Felician solved just that.
Eubanks had 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals in the win.
WilmU Defeats Nyack 85-76
Wildcats would travel to New York and take an 85-76 road win from Nyack on January 25th.
The Wilmington guard had eight points, four rebounds, five assists and three steals in the win.
Wilmington Snaps Two-Game Losing Streak With Win Over Chestnut Hill
The Wildcats would bounce back from a tough overtime loss to Post with an 77-67 win against Chestnut Hill.
Eubanks would have nine points, three rebounds, five assists, four steals and one block in the win.
Wildcats Final Win Of The Season Comes Against Concordia (N.Y.)
Wilmington’s final win of the season would come on February 15th when the team defeated Concordia (N.Y.) 60-50.
Eubanks had 13 points, six rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block in the final win.
