Goldey-Beacom Women’s Basketball announced the hiring of Camden Boehner on Thursday as she joins the team as an Assistant Coach.
Boehner has quite the resume from her alma mater West Chester University where she helped her team to win the PSAC East Division in the 2015-2016 season. Also, Boehner led the school to a 23-6 record last season. Both seasons, the Golden Rams earned at at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament.
In her career at West Chester, Boehner had averaged 21.7 minutes per game, 141 total rebounds, 111 total assists, 73 total steals and 8.8 points a game in 78 games.
At West Chester, Boehner was named a captain twice and earned first team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference in 2018.
The now Goldey-Beacom coach was named “So You Want to Be a Coach” list by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association while at West Chester University.
Boehener also took her talents off the court to help the community in West Chester as well.
The West Chester Alum was involved in the West Chester Adapted PE Program from 2015-18.
As dedicated as Boehner was to her game on the court, she brought that same dedication to her studies as she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and minors in Nutrition and Athletic Coaching from West Chester University in 2018.
Before she was a Golden Ram, Boehner was a Bloomsburg Husky where she averaged 18.1 minutes per game, 38 total rebounds, 32 total assists, 22 steals, and 8.5 points per game in 31 games in the 2014-2015 season.
During her Freshman season at Bloomsburg, Boehener was named PSAC East Freshman of the Year and was named PSAC East Freshman of the Week a total of six times during the season.
The Gettysburg, Pennsylvania native also was an AAU assistant coach for the York Thunder for three seasons ( 2014-17).
