Blue Hens Andrew Romagnoli Honored As CAA’s Men Lacrosse Rookie Of The Week

University of Delaware Men’s Lacrosse team has been racking up the weekly honors lately and the latest one was Hens attackman Andrew Romagnoli as it was announced by the Colonial Athletic Association on Tuesday, earned Rookie of the Week Honors.

This is not the first time Romagnoli has been honored for weekly honors this season, Romagnoli was first given this honor the week of February 14th for his outstanding play.

The Red Shirt freshman attackman was on fire this week by scoring 7 goals, and 1 assist and had 10 points this week in both Blue Hens wins. Romagnoli started the week off hot with four goals and an assist in the dominating 15-9 win over VMI last Tuesday. Then Romagnoli, continued his hot streak scoring four goals and an assist in a 13-10 win over Villanova.

The  Cazenovia, N.Y. native leads the Blue Hens with 19 goals and 26 points on the season.

Previous Blue Hens who had won the CAA Honors are Charlie Kitchen and Matt DeLuca and they both were named Rookie of the Week.
