It was announced Monday by the Colonial Athletic Association that they have named University of Delaware’s Ryan Daly CAA Rookie of the week. This is Daly’s 4th time this season getting this honor. He is the third Blue Hen to get this honor four times in a season, the others were Alphonso Dawson (2007-08), Devon Saddler (2010-11) and Jarvis Threatt (2011-12).
Daly has averaged 24 points, 6.5 rebounds, and has hit 8 out 10 three point shots this week.
The Ardmore, PA native leads the Hens with six 20 point games this season, the most by a Delaware freshman ever. The Hens have been leaning on Daly’s scoring lately because he leads the team in points in the last 8 out the 10 games.
Daly leads all CAA freshman with 14.9 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. He leads the Hens with 39 made three-pointers and is second on the team with steals.
