University Of Delaware Football announces 2017 season

University of Delaware announced their 2017 football schedule on Friday and with the new hopeful feeling around with the new head coach Danny Rocco, the Hens hope it brings a winning feeling back to Delaware stadium.

The 11 game schedule is comprised of 8 CAA conference games and three non-conference  games.

Delaware kicks off the season  at home with the in-state rivalry game against Delaware State.

Then the Hens go to the mighty Virginia Tech who went 10-4 last year and ranked 19th in  NCAA FBS  national ranking.

After Virginia Tech, Delaware will be back home to finish up their non-conferences games to play Ivy League’s Cornell. It will be the first time these two teams ever met.

On September 30th, Delaware will host NCAA national champions James Madison and after that will travel to Stony Brook for the first time ever.

The big game that will be circled for Delaware this season is on October 21st when the Hens play Richmond. Coach Rocco will sure have a lot motivation to want beat his former team that he coached for five years.

Delaware will end the season with long time rival, Villanova.

With Coach Rocco and with some top performers coming back including  linebacker Charles Bell,  cornerback Nasir Adderle and defensive tackle Bilal Nichols this team should be better then last year’s 4-7 record.
