Wilmington trails by one at the end of the first half.

Jefferson would strike first in this CACC semifinal, as Mia Ferrara found the net at the 23:37 mark in the opening period to give her team a 1-0 lead.

The Wildcats tie it up in the second half and force overtime.

WilmU was silent on the scoreboard for a long time in this match, but junior defender Sophia Filipowski broke that streak by finding the back of the net at the 81:34 minute mark to tie the game at one and eventually forcing the game to overtime.

WilmU takes home a 2-1 win in overtime!

Ninety minutes wasn’t enough time to find out who would clinch their ticket to the CACC Championship, and it almost took all five minutes in overtime to find a winner.

At the 94:47 minute mark in the OT period, a winner would be crowned as the Wildcats’ freshman defender, Indigo Kirk, was able to sneak the ball over the goalkeeper and under the crossbar, sealing a 2-1 win for WilmU and sending them to the Championship. Freshman forward Eboni Bradshaw and freshman midfielder Anneli Donath assisted on the score.
