The University of Delaware football team rode into Annapolis on Saturday and stunned the Navy Midshipmen by pulling off a 14-7 victory. The victory also marks the first win for the new head coach Ryan Carty.

It also marks the first time since 2007 that the Blue Hens have beaten an NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision team, which also happened to be the Midshipmen when Joe Flacco led them to a 59-52 victory.

The offensive standouts in the game for Delaware were Graduate student Quarterback Nolan Henderson, Graduate student Chandler Harvin, and Graduate student tight end Bryce De Maille.

Henderson went 20 for 32 with 189 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Harvin had three receptions for 69 yards and one touchdown.

De Maille had three receptions for 14 yards and one touchdown.

On the defensive side, Graduate student linebacker Johnny Buchanan was the standout as he had 23 tackles and forced a fumble. Graduate student linebacker Drew Nickles also had a nice day with six tackles and recovering two fumbles.
