Taylor Gillis’ walk-off single sends Wilmington University past Franklin Pierce in NCAA DII East Regional Tournament

After four innings of play, the game would be tied at one

The story of the first three innings of this game would go to the pitching, as both pitchers stifled the opposing lineups by keeping hits limited and zero on the scoreboard.

The first run of the game would come in the top of the fourth inning from the Ravens when Lita Vorseth hit an RBI single down the right-field line to give her team a 1-0 lead.

Wilmington University would answer back in the bottom of the fourth inning when Haley Downin hit a two-out RBI double to left-center field to tie the score at one.
