Dickey, Oleary & Battle combine for 51 points in Blue Hens 65-61 win over Elon

The University of Delaware women’s basketball team earned their 19th win of the season on Friday with a 65-61 win over the Elon University Phoenix.

Senior guard/forward Jasmine Dickey was the leading scorer for the Blue Hens in the win as she had 25 points. Dickey also recorded a double-double as she collected 11 rebounds with her 25 points.

Redshirt junior forward Ty Battle also recorded a double-double in the win as she had 11 points and ten rebounds.

Graduate Student forward Lizzie Oleary also scored in double-digits in the game with 15 points.

Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included second-chance points (22-8), fast-break points (15-8), rebounds (42-32), turnovers (12-16), block (3-0), and steals (9-6).

The Blue Hens was also the better team at the three-point line in this game as the team shot 25.0 %(3-12), and Elon shot 23.8 %(5-21).
