Seltzer scores 26 in Goldey-Beacom’s 90-78 win over Georgian Court

Goldey-Beacom down by five points after one-quarter of play

The two teams came ready to battle once this game started as it was a tight one in the first three minutes of the first quarter as the score was tied four times. The last score during that time was Lightning’s junior guard Mone Izumi who made a jump shot to tie the game at 7:28 left in the first quarter.

The duo of Briana Seltzer and Mickey Williams would score eight of the 12 points during that time. Goldey-Beacom’s defense did some work during that time too, as they had three steals and one block.

Goldey-Beacom leads by ten points after three-quarters of play

As the second half started, Goldey would outscore Georgian Court 20-13 to take a 60-50 lead with 3:37 left in the third quarter. The duo of Alexis Harrison and Briana Seltzer would score 12 of the 20 points during that time.

The Lightning would add 11 more points to their score to end the third quarter with a 71-61 lead.

Goldey wins 90-78!

Goldey-Beacom would start the fourth quarter by outscoring the Lions 11-7 to take an 82-71 lead with 4:30 left in the game. Alexis Harrison was the leading scorer for the team during that time as she scored six of the 11 points.

The Lighting would add eight more points to their total to seal a 90-78 win over Georgian Court.
