The Goldey-Beacom College baseball team has now won five straight games to start the season as the team defeated the Nyack College Warriors on Wednesday with a score of 13-3.

The RBIs in the game came from sophomore shortstop Mason Maxwell (3), sophomore catcher Marshall Awtry (3), freshman outfielder Demetrius Johnson (2), sophomore second baseman Connor Megginson (1), junior outfielder Bryan Bell (1), freshman first baseman Joey Jourdan (1), and freshman outfielder Dalen Griffith (1).
Nine Lightning players had runs in the win, which were Maxwell (3), Megginson (2), Bell (2), Awtry (1), Johnson (1), Jourdan (1), Griffith (1), senior catcher Ivan Solis (1), and freshman third baseman Kyle Walker (1).
The Goldey-Beacom hitters gained 16 hits in the win, which were Megginson (4), Maxwell (2), Bell (2), Awtry (2), Johnson (2), Griffith (2), Solis (1), and Walker (1).
Megginson (1), Maxwell (1), Walker (2), Bell (1), Johnson (2), Jourdan (1), and Griffith (1) each stole a base in the win.
Maxwell hit a home run in the win.
On the pitching side, junior pitcher Trevor Jump went five innings, gave up eight hits, three runs, three earned runs, three walks, eight strikeouts, hit one batter and earned the win.
Senior pitcher Carlos Solis finished out the game as he went three innings, gave up two hits, two strikeouts, and earned the save.
