The University of Delaware women’s basketball team has now advanced to the semifinals of the Colonial Athletic Association tournament, as the team defeated the UNCW Seahawks 70-52 on Thursday.

The leading scorers in the win for the Blue Hens were junior guard/forward Jasmine Dickey and junior guard Jewel Smalls who each had 19 points. Dickey also recorded a double-double in the win as she collected 13 rebounds with her 19 points.
Redshirt junior forward Ty Battle recorded a double-double in the win with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Freshman guard Tyi Skinner also scored in double-digits as she had 12 points.
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points off of turnovers (17-5), second-chance points (14-5), fast-break points (2-0), bench points (36-12), rebounds (48-29), assists (13-4), turnovers (9-20), blocks (5-4), and steals (10-2).
The Hens bested the Seahawks from the foul line as well, with the team shooting 81.3 %(13-16) and UNCW shooting 66.7 %(12-18).
