The University of Delaware women’s basketball team moved their winning streak to nine games with a 74-55 win over the Elon University Phoenix on Saturday. All nine games in this winning streak have been against their fellow Colonial Athletic Association opponents, which makes it even more impressive.

The leading scorer in the game for the Blue Hens was junior guard/forward Jasmine Dickey, who had 25 points.
Two other Blue Hens scored in double digits in the win, which was Redshirt junior guard/forward Chyna Latimer (16) and freshman guard Tyi Skinner (10).
Redshirt junior forward Ty Battle was on the boards all day as she led the team with ten rebounds.
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (30-20), points off turnovers (21-13), second-chance points (10-9), rebounds (37-22), assists (11-10), turnovers (22-23), blocks (4-2) and steals (13-8).
The Hens also had the advantage of shooting as well, with the team shooting 48.2 %( 27-56) and with Elon shooting 38.5 %( 20-52). The Blue Hens also bested the Phoenix at the free-throw line as the team shot 100.0 % (12-12) and Elon shot 72.7 % (8-11).
