Season Stats: Goldey-Beacom’s Jess Lusk

Delaware Sports Blitz will be showcasing student-athletes performances from this past season each week.

Each week we will look at different colleges from the state of Delaware and showcase their athlete’s performance in the chosen sport of the week.

This week is all about Goldey Beacom’s softball team which will continue with senior pitcher Jess Lusk.

Lusk had 5.48 ERA, 1-3 record, 20 hits, 15 runs, 12 earned runs, 13 walks, seven strikeouts, four doubles, and one home run in 15.1 innings in four games this season.

On the offensive side, the senior pitcher had a .167 batting average, one run, two hits, one home run, two RBIs, two walks, and a slugging percentage of .417 in six games.

The Victoria, British Columbia native was among the best in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in earned run average as she placed 30th with 5.48.

Lightning Fall 9-3 To Shippensburg In Season Opener

Goldey-Beacom would open their season up by falling 9-3 to Shippensburg on February 14th.

Lusk pitched 4.1 innings, gave up six hits, five runs, three earned runs, six walks, one strikeout, and two doubles in the loss.

Goldey Picks Up First Win Vs Millersville

The Lightning would earn the first win of the season on February 15th with an 8-1 victory over Millersville.

Lusk had her best game of the short season in the win as she pitched seven innings, one run, one earned run, three walks, five strikeouts, and two doubles. The Goldey-Beacom pitcher hit for one run, two hits, two RBIs and one home run in the win.

Lightning Lose 5-0 In First Game With West Chester

On March 9th, the Lightning would fall 5-0 to West Chester in the first of two games of that day.

Lusk pitched one inning, four hits, five runs, four earned runs and three walks in the loss.
