Wesley College men’s soccer team is on a roll with taking down their second straight opponent with three goals but this time on the road at Goucher College.
Wesley beat Goucher 3-1 on Saturday and that gives the Wolverines a 2-0 record which is their best opening record since 2014.

The standouts in the game for Wesley were senior forward Chimaobi Ikwuagwu, sophomore forward Darius-David Robinson, sophomore forward Deekai Gbonimy, and junior goalkeeper Kyle Springsteen.
Ikwuagwu had three shots, three shots on goal, and two goals in the win.
Robinson had two shots, two shots on goal, and one assist in the win.
Gbonimy had two shots, two shots on goal, and one goal in the win.
Springsteen allowed zero goals, one shot on the goal, and one save in 53:38 minutes of play.
Wesley Wastes No Time Scoring A Goal
It did not take very long for the first score of the game to happen and it came from Wesley at the 07:21 minute mark.
The goal came from senior forward Chimaobi Ikwuagwu who gave his team an early 1-0 lead in the game.
Then about 14 minutes later, Wesley’s Ikwuagwu was again scoring another goal for his team. Sophomore forward Darius-David Robinson assisted on Ikwuagwu’s second goal.
Goucher Ends Scoreless Drought In the Second Period
It took until the 53:45 minute mark in the second period which is when Goucher College finally got on the scoreboard and decreased the Wolverines’ score to 2-1.
Goucher’s score came from forward Brandon Cohen.
Wesley Adds One More In Late Second Period
Wesley was not done scoring yet as in the 68:48 minute mark in the second-period sophomore forward Deekai Gbonimy scored a goal for his team to put the team up 3-1.
Wesley returns home Tuesday ( September 4th) to take on Wilson at 7:00pm ET.
