University of Delaware to Host ECAC Division III Football Fest in November

The  Eastern College Athletic Conference ( ECAC) announced on May 31st, the next two sites of their Division III Football Bowl Championships (DIII Football Fest) and they are University of Delaware in 2017 and University of Pennsylvania in 2018.

The DIII Football Fest is in it’s third year which “features the best ECAC Divison III teams competing in a series of bowl games at a neutral site over a multi-day span” according to ECAC’s website.  The event has become a must see and top event for ECAC, ever since it started in 2015.  The ECAC has a partnership with the Pack network to cover all the events during the fest for the next two years.

The 2017 event will be held at University of Delaware’s Tubby Raymond Field at Delaware Stadium on November 17-19. Delaware’s 22,000 seat stadium is the second largest stadium in the Colonial Athletic Association and one of the larger stadiums nationally for FCS Football.

Here is what Delaware Director of Athletics and Recreation Services Chrissi Rawak said about UD hosting the ECAC Division III Football Fest:

“On behalf of the University of Delaware and the Newark community, we are excited to host the ECAC Division III Football Fest here at Delaware Stadium this coming November,” said Delaware Director of Athletics and Recreation Services Chrissi Rawak. “We are honored to be selected to host some of the top football teams and student-athletes in the country for this one-of-a-kind event. We wish all the teams the best as they work towards this goal and invite everyone to come out and support them in what should be another great event and a fun atmosphere at Delaware Stadium.”
