The Goldey-Beacom women’s soccer team earned their fifth victory of the season on Saturday with a 1-0 win over the D’Youville University Saints.

Goldey-Beacom takes home a 1-0 victory!
In the first 45 minutes of the game, the scoreboard remained silent. The two teams took 11 combined shots for the net, but the ball never made it in for a score.
The Lightning would strike in the 67th minute to get on the scoreboard, as Senior forward Sia Diakos would find the net to seal a 1-0 victory over the Saints. Freshman forward Ryley Dixon assisted on Diakos’s goal.

The standouts in the game for the Lightning were Sia Diakos, Ryley Dixon, and senior goalkeeper Nikki Cashin.
Diakos had five shots, three shots at the goal, and one goal in the win.
Dixon had three shots, one shot at the goal, and one assist in the victory.
Cashin allowed zero goals and had four saves in 90 minutes in the win.
