The Delaware State University men’s basketball team earned their fifth win of the season on Tuesday as the team defeated Chicago State University Cougars 66-60.
Junior guard Martaz Robinson and senior guard O’Koye Parker led the Hornets in scoring in the win with 16.
Sophomore guard Corey Perkins also scored in double-digits in the game, as he had 12 points
Delaware State had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (32-14), points off of turnovers (21-15), second-chance points (9-3), bench points (16-5), rebounds (38-31), assists (13-11), turnovers (10-17), and steals (7-4).
DSU also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 44.3 % (27-61) and Chicago State shooting 40.8 %(20-49). The Hornets were also the better team at the free-throw line in this game, as the team shot 72.7 %(8-11), and the Cougars shot 58.8 %(10-17).
