The Goldey-Beacom College men’s basketball team earned their tenth win of the season Wednesday, as the team defeated the Georgian Court University Lions 89-66.
Junior guard Ayshion Centeno led Goldey-Beacom in scoring in the win with 30 points.
Freshman forward Zayon Marsh recorded a double-double in the game with 12 points and 18 rebounds.
Junior guard Damani Thomas also scored in double-digits in the win, as he had 29 points.
The Lightning had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (40-26), points off of turnovers (17-6), second chance points (20-6), fast break points (14-8), rebounds (39-33), assists (17-9), turnovers (6-17), and steals (10-4).
Goldey-Beacom also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 45.1 % (32-71) and Georgian Court shooting 44.2 %(23-52). The Lightning also bested the Lions from the three-point line, with the team shooting 46.2 %(12-26) and Georgian Court shooting 37.5 % (6-16).
