Wilmington University would lead by 11 points at the end of the first half.

In the opening half, the Wildcats’ defense made it tough for Bowie State to get a consistent flow to their offense, as the team had 11 defensive rebounds, two steals, and four blocks.
WilmU wins 66-60!
The Bulldogs would be firing on all cylinders in the early minutes of the second half, as the team outscored Wilmington University 12-5 to slice the lead to five points (40-35) with 16:30 left in the game.
Fast forward to the 12:14 minute mark, where Bowie State continued to chip away at the Wildcats’ advantage by making three straight free throw shots to pull the score to 47-44.
Starting at the 10:19 minute mark, WilmU would respond by going on a 7-2 run to extend their lead to 54-46 with 8:16 remaining in the second half. Justin Thomas and Amiri Stewart would score all seven points during that time.
Five minutes and 72 seconds later, the Bulldogs would outscore Wilmington University 9-4 to cut the deficit to three points (58-55) with 2:44 left in the game.
The Wildcats would answer back by running off to an 8-5 run to seal a 66-60 win over Bowie State.
