The score stays tied at zero in the first half.

Despite Goldey-Beacom outshooting Staten Island 13-0 in the first half, the scoreboard stayed silent as those shots missed the mark. The attempts either were getting blocked or going too high, too wide, or Dolphins goalkeeper Sara Villacres would put a stop to the ball.

Lightning wins 4-0!

The shots would finally start to go in for Goldey in the second half, as Alex Lowry would find Paulimar Coll, who would kick in the first goal of the game from ten yards out.

At the 76:18 minute mark, the Lightning would find the net once again, as Angela Lee would push the ball in from the left side of the net to expand her team’s lead to 2-0.

Five minutes and 11 minutes later, Goldey-Beacom could not be stopped, as Alyssa Ruggeri would rebound from her missed shot that would be saved by Staten Island’s goalie Sara Villacres to find Mariah McQueen, who would knock in the score to give their team a 3-0 advantage.

Six minutes and two seconds later, Ruggeri would find the net herself as she hit a shot from ten yards that went underneath Villacres to seal a 4-0 Lightning win.
