Wilmington University prevails in extra innings to sweep West Chester

It was another extra-inning win for the Wildcats in the second victory with a score of 7-6 over West Chester.

Game two stats:

RBIs: Taylor Gillis, sophomore pitcher/second baseman Haley Downin, graduate student shortstop Lauren Lopez, Gabbie Saucedo, and sophomore first baseman Arianna Millan all had one RBI in the win.

Runs: Lexi Moore and Emma Zimmerman led the team in runs scored with two.

Hits: Wilmington had a total of 12 hits in the game. Adriana Bueno, Gillis, and Downin led the team in hits in the win with two.

Stolen bases: Moore (2), Downin, and freshman catcher/outfielder Tristyn Stewart stole each stole a base in the win.

Pitching: On the pitching side, starting pitcher sophomore Renamarie Rocha went 4.1 innings, gave up five hits, five runs, three earned runs, three walks, and five strikeouts.

Downin would come in for Rocha, as she went 3.2 innings, three hits, one run, one earned run, one walk, one strikeout, and earned the win.
