Walsh & Rickards combine for 47 points in Wilmington’s 78-63 win over Georgian Court

Wilmington leads by 13 points at the end of the first half

The game started with Georgian Court jumping out to a 7-3 advantage with 16:54 left in the first half. Twenty-one seconds later, the Wildcats would answer back with a 19-4 run, which gave them a 22-11 lead with 10:23 remaining in the first half.

The duo of Justin Thomas and Randy Rickards would score 14 of the 19 points on the run. Rebounding was also a factor on the run as the team collected seven rebounds.

Fast forward to the 5:25 minute mark, WilmU would hold a fifteen-point lead (37-22) over the Lions.

Starting at the 2:12 minute mark, Georgian Court would outscore the Wildcats 6-4 to end the first half trailing by 13 points (41-28).

WilmU wins 78-63!

In the first seven minutes of the second half, Wilmington would outscore the Lions 16-12 to extend their lead to 57-40 with 13:17 remaining in the game. The duo of Randy Rickards and Danny Walsh would score 13 of the 16 points on the run. Rickards also had one block, one steal, and two rebounds during the run.

Starting at the 12:24 minute mark, the Lions would go on a 14-6 run to trim the lead to nine points (63-54) with 5:17 left in the second half.

About a minute later, the Wildcats would dash out to a 15-9 run to seal a 78-63 win over Georgian Court. The duo of Justin Thomas and Danny Walsh would score 11 of the 15 points on the run.
