Blue Hens lead by eight points after one-quarter of play
The game started with the Hens jumping out to a 6-2 lead with 6:02 left in the first quarter. The duo of Jasmine Dickey and Ty Battle would score all six points during this time.
Starting at the 5:24 minute mark, Delaware would outscore Chestnut Hill 11-6 to extend their lead to 17-8 with 43 seconds left in the first quarter. Jasmine Dickey would be the leader of this run as she scored seven of the 11 points.
Dickey would score the last points for the Hens in the first quarter as she made two free throws to give her team a 19-11 lead.
Hens lead by 16 points at the end of the first half
Delaware started the second quarter off with a 14-4 run, which extended their lead to 33-15 with 3:05 left in the first half.
On this run, the Blue Hens had the boards on lockdown as they collected 13 rebounds. The Hens defense was also a factor in the run as they had two blocks and one steal.
Fast forward to the last few seconds of the first half as Tyi Skinner would hit a jump shot to give the Blue Hens a 37-21 lead.
Delaware leads by 32 points after three-quarters of play
The second half started with the Hens going on a 17-9 run to expand their lead to 54-30 with 2:58 left in the third quarter. During this run, the team made three shots from the three-point line, as Jasmine Dickey drained one, and Tyi Skinner made two.
For the rest of the quarter, Delaware outscored Chestnut Hill 10-2 to push their lead to 64-32. During this run, the Blue Hens defense had two steals and one block.
Blue Hens win 87-48!
In the first five minutes of the fourth quarter, the Hens would add ten more points to their score (74-39) as Tara Cousins drained two shots from the three-point line during that time.
The Blue Hens would outscore the Griffins 13-9 for the rest of the game to take home a dominating 87-48 win.
