The first goal of the game came at the 25:52 minute mark, when Kasie Lambert found the back of the net to get WilmU a 1-0 lead.

Wilmington was not done adding to their lead just yet, as at the 68:48 minute mark, Lauren Hoelke would earn her first goal of the season to put WilmU up 2-0.
