Wilmington scores four goals in the first period
The first goal of this game came at the 16:14 minute mark when WilmU’s Shawn Genus found the net to give his team a 1-0 lead. Genus’s goal was assisted by Hakim Williams.
About a minute later, another Wildcat would find the net as Reinoud van Eijk would score from the right side of the goal to give his team a 2-0 lead. Van Eijk’s goal was assisted by Richard Thompson.
Three minutes later, Wilmington would continue their scoring blitz as Shoki Yoshida would get his first goal of the season to put the Wildcats up 3-0.
At the 24:33 minute mark, Bentley would score their first goal by a made penalty kick.
As time was running out in the first period, Yoshida would earn his second goal of the game by hitting a half volley to put the Wildcats up 4-1.

WilmU wins 5-2!
The next goal for Wilmington would happen at the 53:31 minute mark in the second half, as Genus would earn his second goal of the game to put his team up 5-1.
As the seconds were winding down in this game, the Falcons would earn a goal from a free-kick that Wilmington’s goalkeeper Konstantinos Parisis initially caught but then fell into the net.
