Rocha came into the game to relieve Ballester, which she went, two innings, gave up six hits, five runs, five earned runs, and two strikeouts.

Wilmington starts the scoring in the second
The first run of the game came from the Wildcats, Isabella Eleazar, who hit a single which would score her teammate Haley Downin to give their team a 1-0 in the top of the first inning.
WilmU scores two more runs in the third inning
Sara Miller would start the third inning by reaching first on an error, and she would follow that up by stealing second base.
Courtney Dellinger would be the next batter as she earned a walk which gave Wilmington two runners on the bases.
The next batter would be Lauren Lopez, who would ground out, but it would allow Miller to score to give WilmU a 2-0 lead in the top of the third inning.
Annie Davila would come up to the plate next which she would reach first base on an error, and it would allow Dellinger to score to give their team a 3-0 lead.
The USciences batters woke up in the second game as the team finally got their first run of the day when Gabriella Polera tripled to center field, which allowed her teammate Gabrielle Simms to score to cut the lead to 3-1.
Wildcats score five runs in the fourth
Wilmington would continue to add to their lead in the fourth inning as the team scored five more runs.
The first run came when Sara Miller reached first base on a fielder’s choice, which would score Isabella Eleazar and Renamarie Rocha to give their team a 5-1 lead.
Lauren Lopez would knock the next run in as she hit a single to center field, which allowed Sara Miller to score to give the Wildcats a 6-1 lead.
Two batters later, Alyssa Velasquez would hit a double to center field, which allowed Annie Davila and Lopez to score to give their team an 8-1 lead.
The last run of the inning for Wilmington came when Haley Downin doubled to left field, which would allow Velasquez to score to give WilmU a 9-1 lead.

Devils score two runs in the fifth
After only allowing one run in four innings to USciences, Wilmington’s Alexandra Ballester would allow two runs in the fifth to the opposing team’s batters.
The first run came when Gabrielle Simms hit a double, which allowed Abbigail Markee to score to cut the lead to 9-2.
Keiya Moncilovich would hit a single for the Devils, which would score Simms to cut the lead to 9-3.
In the middle of the fifth inning, Ballester’s day would be done, and Renamarie Rocha would relieve her for the rest of the inning.
Wilmington hang on for the 9-8 win
USciences would bat in five runs in the sixth inning, which includes one double and three singles. The five runs in the sixth inning would close the lead to one (9-8) for the Wildcats.
WilmU’s pitcher Renamarie Rocha closed the door on the comeback as she helped seal a 9-8 win.
