The Delaware State University men’s basketball team earned their first win of the season on Wednesday with an 81-80 victory over the Lancaster Bible College Chargers.

The leading scorer of the game for the Hornets was senior guard Myles Carter who had 21 points.
Two other Hornets scored in double digits, which were junior point guard Pinky Wiley (17) and sophomore forward/center Zach Kent (11).
Delaware State had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (40-28), points off turnovers (23-15), second-chance points (14-12), fast-break points (14-12), turnovers (14-20), blocks (5-3) and steals (8-6).
DSU also had the advantage of shooting as well, with the team shooting 45.6 %( 31-68) and with Lancaster Bible shooting 45.3 %( 29-64).
