Goldey-Beacom Baseball Schedule

After going 10-35 and 5-17 in the CACC in their inaugural season, Goldey-Beacom looks for a better result in their second season.

One of the strongest players on the Lightning is back for his senior year and that is Raul Perez-Duran. Perez-Duran was 27th in the CACC with a .299 batting average, 38th with a .389 slugging percentage, 25th with 43 hits, second on the team with 39 2/3 innings pitched, eighth with 14 RBI, tied for third with five steals, fifth with 19 runs and sixth with 18 strikeouts last season.

Perez-Duran with those stats earned second-team All-CACC last year.

Then GBC welcomes back sophomore outfielder  Tevin Thomas who was a hitting machine in 2017. Thomas was 11th in the CACC with a .333 batting average, eighth with a .431 on-base percentage, 18th with 26 RBI, 20th with 46 hits, 27th with 27 runs, 35th with a .391 slugging percentage, and 45th with five stolen bases last season.

For Lightning’s 2018 season, the team starts on the road in Hickory, North Carolina against Lenoir–Rhyne University on February 17th.

Goldey-Beacom’s home opener is March 3rd against Millersville.

Lightning’s  Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play starts March 17th vs Caldwell and ends April at home vs Nyack.
