Blue Hens Ryan Daly Earns Sixth Rookie Of The Week Award

Another week, another honor for University of Delaware’s Ryan Daly who was honored Monday by the CAA with Rookie of the Week honors.

Daly broke a school record last week with being named rookie of the week five times and now he can add to the record with one more this week.

The Blue Hen guard has been a scoring machine this season and Daly continues that tear with leading Delaware in scoring in the last 15 out of  the 18 games.

Daly ranks ninth in scoring with CAA by scoring 15.4 points a game and fifth in rebounding averaging 7.1 rebounds per game.

The freshman guard had two 20 point games this  past week, one vs Drexel and the other vs William & Mary. Daly scored 24 points and 12 rebounds in the thriller 68-67 win vs Drexel, last Thursday night. He also hit the three point winning shot in that game which also made him the leading freshman scorer in Blue Hens history. Daly also scored 20 points vs William & Mary which was his ninth 20th point game of the season and his seventh consecutive double figure game.  The Ardmore, PA native also became the leading freshman rebounder in the Hens history during the past weekend.

Does anyone smell Rookie of the year here?
