The Lightning would continue to expand their advantage in the fourth inning, as Morgan Scott and sophomore infielder Autumn Simpson would each record an RBI single, and Bryn Bohmann went home on a wild pitch to give their team an 8-1 lead.

GBC would add one last run in the bottom of the fifth when Sophomore Emma Friel hit an RBI single to the pitcher to give her team a 9-1 win.
