The Goldey-Beacom College baseball team will be playing tomorrow for a chance to go to the East Regional final after defeating the Queens College (NY) Knights 14-2 and then beating the Le Moyne College Dolphins 7-5. The Lightning will play Le Moyne on Sunday at 1 PM ET to earn their spot in the East Regional Finals to take on Southern New Hampshire.

RBIs: Kyle Walker would lead the team in RBIs, with three in the win.
Runs: Darin Miller also led the team in runs with four in the game.
Hits: Miller would lead the team in hits, with four in the win.
Stolen Bases: Johnny Kampes would lead the team in stolen bases with three.
Home Runs: Miller and Walker each hit a home in the game.
Game One Recap (Versus Queens ):
Goldey-Beacom would strike first in the game versus Queens as the team scored three runs on three hits in the top of the second inning to take a 3-0 lead.
The scoring highlights in the inning would come when sophomore outfielder Matt Benner pushed home a run when he walked with the bases loaded, and then sophomore outfielder Christian Petrillo would hit a two-run single through the left side a play later.
Two innings later, the Lightning bats remained hot as they added five runs on four hits to take the score to 8-0.
Senior catcher Johnny Kampes would get the scoring started off in the inning by slapping an RBI single to right field to push the score to 4-0.
Then, junior third baseman Kyle Walker and junior outfielder Demetrius Johnson would each push in a run to take Goldey’s advantage to 6-0.
Junior infielder Dante DiSabatino close out the scoring party in the fourth inning by hitting a two-run ground-rule double to right field to extend his team’s edge to 8-0.
In the sixth inning, Dante DiSabatino would push in a run with an RBI single, and also sophomore infielder Braden Kolmansberger would get a baserunner home with a fielder’s choice to take the score to 10-0.
Kyle Walker would get another run home in the seventh inning when he flew out to right field to expand the Lightning’s lead to 11-0.
Fast forward to the top of the ninth inning, where Kyle Walker would hit a home run, and then two batters later, junior infielder Darin Miller would knock a two-run dinger out of the park to give Goldey-Beacom a 14-0 edge.
The Knights would score two runs in the bottom of the ninth, but GBC would still take home a 14-2 win.
Pitching recap:
Senior pitcher Anthony DiMartino had a solid outing, as he went nine innings, gave up ten hits, two runs, two earned runs, one walk, struck two batters out, and earned the win.
