Four Goldey-Beacom players score in double-digits as the team charged back to win 86-76 over Felician

Goldey-Beacom would trail by ten points at the end of the first half.

The first lead the Lightning would have in this game came at the 15:58-minute mark when Damani Thomas drained a three-pointer to give his team a three-point advantage (7-4).

Three minutes and 51 seconds later, Thomas would make another shot from the three-point line, which would push Goldey-Beacom’s lead to 17-10 with 12:07 remaining in the opening half.

Starting at the 10:43 minute mark, Felician would start to heat up, as the team went on a 27-10 run to grab a 37-27 advantage with 4:32 left in the first half. The Falcons made four shots from the three-point line during this time.

The first half would end with the Golden Falcons Jamling Lama hitting a three-pointer to give his team a ten-point lead (43-33).

Lightning wins 86-76!

Goldey-Beacom came out in the early minutes of the second half with a pep in their step, as the team outscored Felician 19-5 to take a 52-48 edge with 15 minutes remaining in the game. The man with the shooting touch on this run was Ayshion Centeno, who scored 12 of the 19 points.

Fast forward to the 12:19 minute mark, where the Golden Falcons Sean McCarthy made a layup to tie the game at 57.

Sixteen seconds later, the Lightning would strike back by going on a 23-9 run to grab an 80-66 lead with 3:30 left in the second half. Centeno and Zayon Marsh scored 13 of the team’s 23 points during that time.

GBC would score six more points in the second half to seal an 86-76 victory over the Golden Falcons.
