Hornets lead by 37 points at the end of the first half
The game started with Delaware State jumping out to a 20-0 lead ( yes, you read that right) with 13:58 left in the first half. Fahim Jenneto was the leader of this run as he scored nine of the 20 points. Jenneto also had a block, one assist, and one rebound on the run. DSU was hot from the three-point line on the run as the team drained four. Dominik Fragala, Corey Perkins, Jenneto, and Myles Carter were the players who made a three-point shot on the run.
Around the 11:44 minute mark, the Hornets would remain burning hot as the team went on a 26-7 run to give them a 46-9 lead at the end of the first half. The trio of Fragala, Carter, and Avery Richardson would score 20 of the 26 points on the run.
Delaware State had the boards on lockdown during the run as the team collected 12 rebounds. DSU’s defense was also a factor in the run as the team had one block and six steals.
DSU wins 84-30!
The second half would start with Delaware State scoring 23 unanswered points to push their lead to 69-9 with 12:44 left in the game. Fahim Jenneto (2), Myles Carter (1), Dominik Fragala (1), and Khyrie Staten (1) would all drain a shot from the three-point line on the run.
Starting at the 12:25 minute mark, Regent would outscore the Hornets 21-15 for the rest of the second half, but it would not matter as DSU would take home a dominating 84-30 win.
