Blue Hens lead by eight after one-quarter of play
Delaware is the hottest team in the CAA right now, which surprised no one as the team jumped out to a quick 13-2 lead in the first seven minutes of this game. The leader of this run was Jasmine Dickey, who scored six of the 13 points. Free throw shooting was big on this run for the Hens, as five of the 13 points came from the foul line.
The Blue Hens defensive play was also a key on this run as the team had seven defensive rebounds, three steals, and a block.
Starting at the 3:28 minute mark, Hofstra would climb back into the game by going on an 8-2 run, which cut the lead to five (15-10) with 1:41 left in the first quarter.
Delaware would score four straight points to end the first quarter with an 18-10 lead.

Hens lead by 12 at the half
In the first four minutes of the second quarter, it was the Jasmine Dickey show as she scored all ten points on the Blue Hens 10-3 run, which gave the team a 28-13 lead with 6:01 left in the first half. Dickey drained two shots from the three-point line during the 10-3 run. The defense of Delaware was once again stellar, as the team had three steals and one block during the run.
Starting at the 4:11 minute mark, the Pride would go on an 11-5 run to pull within nine points (33-24) of the lead with 31 seconds left in the first half. Nine of Hofstra’s 11 points on the run came from the foul line.
Dickey would score the last three points of the first half, which expanded the Hens lead to 36-24.
Delaware leads by five after three-quarters of play
In the first six minutes of the second half, it would be the Pride who would come out flying as the team went on a 13-4 run to cut the lead to three points (40-37) with 4:14 left in the third quarter.
In the final four minutes of the third quarter, Delaware would outscore Hofstra 6-4 to extend their lead to 46-41. Four of the six points came from Lizzie Oleary, who made four free throws at the foul line.
Blue Hens win by 21 points
The Hens would put some cushion into their lead as the final quarter started with the team outscoring the Pride 16-10 in the first five minutes of the period. Blue Hens would again have a double-digit lead over Hofstra with the run as the score was 62-51 with 5:17 left in the game. The leader of this run was junior guard Jewel Smalls, who had six points, one block, one assist, and one rebound.
At the 3:41 minute mark, Delaware would continue to pull away as the team went on a 14-4 run, which sealed a 76-55 win over the Pride. The leader of this run was Jasmine Dickey, who scored seven of the 14 points.
Twelve of Delaware’s 30 points came from capitalizing off of Hofstra’s turnovers.
