The Wilmington University softball team is moving on in the next round of the CACC tournament with a 3-2 win over the Jefferson University Rams on Friday. WilmU will play Goldey-Beacom at 11 am on Saturday for the CACC Championship game.

Wilmington University takes home a 3-2 win!
Jefferson would strike first in this game with an RBI single to right field in the second inning to take a 1-0 edge. They would add another run at the top of the third by pushing in a run with a walk to extend their advantage to 2-0.
WilmU would get on the board in the fifth inning with senior outfielder Eve Serrato hitting an RBI single to left field to cut the score to 2-1.
Freshman pitcher/outfielder Maddie Vollmar gave the Cats the lead in the bottom of the sixth with a two-run homer to left field to help her team grab a 3-2 edge.
Pitching Recap:
Freshman pitcher Karen Sickle earned the win by going four innings, giving up one hit, one walk, and striking out two.
