The Goldey-Beacom College softball team is moving on in the CACC tournament after taking home a 4-0 win over the Jefferson University Rams on Friday. Goldey-Beacom will face Wilmington University in the CACC Championship game on Saturday.

Goldey-Beacom takes home a 4-0 win!
Sophomore Utility player McKenna Frank would get the Lightning on the board first in this game by hitting an RBI double to right-center to give her team a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning.
In the very next play, Senior utility player Ariana Mirenda slapped a two-run single up the middle to give the team a 3-0 edge.
Fast forward to the sixth inning, where Junior infielder Autumn Simpson pushed home a run with a Sac Fly to give her team a 4-0 lead.
Pitching Recap:
Senior pitcher Caitlyn Burch earned the win by going seven innings, giving up five hits, one walk, and striking out four.
