CACC tournament 1st round: Goldey-Beacom wins second game 2-0 to continue in CACC tourney

The Goldey-Beacom College softball team is moving on in the CACC tournament after taking home a 2-0 win over the Georgian Court University Lions in their second game on Sunday. Goldey-Beacom lost the first game 1-0, forcing the second match.

Goldey-Beacom takes home a 2-0 win!

Both of the Lightning’s two runs in this game came in the fourth inning when Senior infielder Alex Lowry smoked an RBI triple down the right field, and then Junior infielder Autumn Simpson hit an RBI single down the left field line.

Pitching Recap:

Senior pitcher Caitlyn Burch earned the win by giving up four hits, one walk, and striking out four in seven innings.
