Our 2024-2025 season player review series continues with the University of Delaware men’s basketball team as the spotlight turns to Junior guard Cavan Reilly.
Reilly was third on the team in scoring this season, with 12.4 points per game.
The UD guard found the basket a lot this year, recording double-digits in points in 23 games. He also netted three games where he scored over 20 points.
Reilly’s season-high in points came on February 15th versus Campbell, where he had 24. He made nine of his 16 shots and drained five of nine attempts from the three-point line.
Another highlight performance for the Blue Hen junior came in the 100-94 win versus Yale on November 24th, where he recorded 23 points. Reilly made five of his ten shots, drained five of ten tries from the three-point line, and hit all eight free throws.
The Virginia native had quick hands this season, leading the team in steals per game with 1.3. He had a season-high of six steals versus Towson on February 13th.
Reilly averaged 12.4 points per game, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 33 games.
