The Goldey-Beacom College softball team will play another day in the CACC tournament after picking up a 4-0 win in the second game of the day versus the Bloomfield College Bears. The Lightning lost their first game of the day to the University of Bridgeport Athletics 6-1.

Goldey-Beacom takes home a 4-0 win!
The Lighting would strike first in this game, as junior infielder Bryn Bohmann would score a passed ball to give her team a 1-0 edge in the second inning.
GBC would continue to add to their lead in the third inning, as the team scored three runs on five hits to push their advantage to 4-0.
Senior outfielder Hannah Davis started the scoring in the inning, as she hit an RBI double to left field to take the score to 2-0.
Junior infielder Alex Lowry came up to the plate next and hit a two-run single to right field to give her team a 4-0 edge.
Pitching Recap:
Senior starting pitcher Abigail O’Shields went seven innings, gave up four hits, and struck five batters out in a win.
