Wilmington University pushes winning streak to 12 with sweep over Pace

Wilmington takes a two-run lead at the end of the first inning.

The Wildcats did not waste any time scoring in the second game of the doubleheader, as the team scored two runs on one hit and an error to take a 2-0 lead in the first inning.

Senior shortstop Lexi Moore started the scoring in the inning as she knocked a bunt single to second base, which allowed Tristyn Stewart to go home to give their team a 1-0 lead.

Three plays later, senior designated player Sara Miller would push in a run with a sac bunt to give her team a 2-0 edge.

WilmU takes home a 3-1 win!

Four innings later, Wilmington would continue to increase their lead, as Sara Miller would push in her second run of the game with an RBI single to give her team a 3-0 advantage in the bottom of the fifth.

Pace would score their first run of the game in the top of the sixth, but WilmU would still take home a 3-1 victory.
