Delaware did not waste any time in this one, as they jumped all over UNCW in the opening quarter by outscoring the Seahawks 23-4. Tara Cousins, Sydney Boone, Darrionna Howard, and Klarke Sconiers were on fire during this stretch, as the quartet scored 21 of the team’s 23 points.
UD’s defense was strong in the first quarter, as the unit collected 14 defensive rebounds, two blocks, and three steals.

Delaware would continue to be solid on the defensive side in this quarter, with the unit collecting 11 defensive rebounds, three blocks, and three steals.

In the third quarter, it would be the Rebecca Demeke show, as she scored 11 of the team’s 20 points to help UD take a 62-26 advantage heading into the fourth. Demeke hit four of six shots in the period and also made three out of four three points during that time.

Delaware would cruise to a win in the fourth quarter, as the team scored 11 more points to seal a dominating 73-35 victory over UNCW.
