Blue Hens ended the first half with a ten-point lead.
The game started with Delaware jumping out a 12-2 lead with 13:22 left in the opening period. Tyler Houser and Jyáre Davis had the hot touch during that stretch, as the duo scored eight of the 12 points.
The Blue Hens defense was a key part of that run, as the team had two steals and six defensive rebounds.
At the 2:46 minute mark, Air Force would hit their second straight bucket for a mini 5-0 run to slice the Hens edge to six points (23-17.
UD would have sophomore guard Cavan Reilly and Tyler Houser each drain shots from the three-point line in the last minute of the first half to push their team’s edge to 29-19.
Delaware takes home a 65-57 victory!!
The second half started with the Falcons flying out the gate on a 25-14 run to give the team a 44-43 lead with 10:43 left in the match.
UD would respond in a big way, as the team would outscore Air Force 21-9 to take an 11-point advantage (64-53) with 31 seconds left in the game.
Jalun Trent played a major role during that stretch, as he had six points, two rebounds, and two steals.
Despite getting outscored 4-1 in the last 20 seconds in the second half, the Blue Hens would hold on to win 65-57 over the Falcons.
