Marcus Yarns scores five touchdowns in Blue Hens 51-13 win over Towson

The University of Delaware’s football team earned their seventh win of the season on Saturday with a dominating 51-13 victory over the Towson University Tigers.

The offensive standouts in the game for Delaware were senior quarterback Zach Marker, senior running back Marcus Yarns, and Graduate student tight end Braden Brose.

Marker completed 16 of his 18 passes for 307 yards for two touchdowns in the win.

Yarns rushed for 63 yards on 13 carries with four touchdowns in the victory. He also had four receptions for 105 receiving yards with one touchdown.

Brose had one reception for 12 yards with one touchdown in the game.

On the defensive side, senior defensive back Keeno Arrington was flying all over the field in the win, as he led the team in tackles with five. The Blue Hens had three sacks in the game, which came from Graduate student linebacker Jackson Taylor (0.5),  senior linebacker Dillon Trainer (1), senior defensive lineman Ethan Saunders (1), and senior defensive lineman Jack Hall (1). Graduate student defensive back Tyron Herring would also grab an interception in the victory. Junior defensive back Ty Davis would also recover a fumble in the win.
