Blue Hens trail by four at the end of the first half
The game started with UNCW jumping out to an 8-3 advantage with 16:32 left to play in the first half. Jaylen Sims scored five of the eight points on the run for the Seahawks.
Starting at the 15:41 minute mark, Delaware would answer back by scoring five straight points to tie the game up at eight, with 14:33 remaining in the first half. Jyare Davis and Jameer Nelson Jr. would score all five points on the run.
In the next two minutes and 28 seconds, the intensity of this game skyrocketed as UNCW would get a small lead, and the Blue Hens would tie it up twice during that time. The final time the Hens tied the score during those two minutes and 28 seconds was when Nelson Jr. drained a three-point shot to square up the score at 13.
Fifty-five seconds later, the Seahawks would score four straight points to take a 17-13 lead with 10:56 left in the first half.
Twenty-seven seconds later, the University of Delaware would punch back by scoring six straight points to take a 19-17 lead with 9:37 left to play in the first half.
One minute and 33 seconds later, UNCW would start on a 13-5 run, which gave them a 30-24 lead with 3:38 remaining in the first half.
In the remaining minutes of the first half, the Blue Hens would outscore the Seahawks 6-4 to trim the lead to four points (34-30). Andrew Carr scored four of the six points.

Delaware would start the second half off by outscoring the Seahawks 8-5 to cut the lead to one point (39-38) with 16:07 left in the game. Jyare Davis scored six of the eight points on the run. The Blue Hens defense was also solid during the run as they had two defensive rebounds, two steals, and one block.
Five minutes and 53 seconds later, UNCW would take a three-point lead with buckets by Mike Okauru, and made free throws from Trazarien White.
In the next four minutes, the lead changed back and forth like a ping pong ball on a table, as the teams exchanged the lead five times, and the score was tied three times. The final lead change during that time came from Jameer Nelson Jr., who made a free throw to give the Blue Hens a 50-49 lead with 6:15 remaining in the game.
Almost two minutes later, the Seahawks would outscore the University of Delaware 6-3 to take a 55-53 lead with 2:30 left to play in the game. Jaylen Sims scored all six points for UNCW on the run.
Twenty-five seconds later, Delaware would deliver the final blow as the team scored six straight points to seal a 59-55 win over the Seahawks and a ticket to the NCAA Tournament.
