The Delaware State University’s football team earned their fourth win of the season on Saturday as the team defeated the Howard University Bisons 30-23.
The offensive standouts in the game for the Hornets were Redshirt sophomore quarterback Jared Lewis, senior wide receiver Trey Gross, sophomore wide receiver Bizzet Woodley, and junior wide receiver Jerrish Halsey.
Lewis went 14 for 22 for 246 yards and four passing touchdowns.
Gross had seven receptions for 124 yards and two touchdowns.
Woodley had one reception for 15 yards and one touchdown.
Halsey had three receptions for 61 yards and one touchdown.
On the Defensive side, the standouts for DSU were junior linebacker Brooks Parker, Redshirt junior defensive lineman Carrington Jones, redshirt junior defensive lineman Isaiah Williams, and Redshirt sophomore defensive back Andrew Reese.
Parker was the leader in total tackles for the Hornets with nine. Parker also had 0.5 sacks in the win.
Jones had three tackles and one sack.
Williams had three tackles and 0.5 sacks.
Reese had two tackles and one sack.
