Hornets lead by seven at the end of the first half

In the next four and half minutes, DSU would add a little more cushion to their lead as the team outscored Lancaster Bible 17-10 to take a 69-61 lead with 8:02 left in the game. The three-point shot was a key to this run as the team made three with Pinky Wiley, redshirt junior guard Dominik Fragala and junior forward Ameer Bennett each made one.
Seconds later, the Chargers would charge back with a 17-2 run, which gave the team a 78-71 lead with 3:22 left in the game.
Twenty-two seconds later, Delaware State responded with a 10-2 run of their own, which gave them a one-point win (81-80) over Lancaster Bible. Myles Carter would be the leader of this run as he scored six of the ten points.
