Hens trail by two after one-quarter of play

Blue Hens lead by three points at the half
In the first six minutes of the second quarter, the Hens would go on a 12-5 run, which gave them a 28-23 lead with 3:20 left in the first half. The leader of this run was Jasmine Dickey, who scored eight of the 12 points, had one block, one assist, and four rebounds. Also, rebounding was a key to this run as the team collected ten rebounds.
Starting at the two-minute mark, UNCW would outscore Delaware 6-4 to cut the lead to three points (32-29) at the end of the first half.
In the second quarter, the Blue Hens turned their missed buckets into second opportunities as the team had ten offensive rebounds.
Delaware leads by 17 after three-quarters of play
The Blue Hens came out in the second half, ready to take command of this game as the team went on a 12-0 run to extend their lead to 44-29 with 5:10 left in the third quarter. The leader of this run was Jasmine Dickey, who scored eight of the 12 points. Rebounding also played a big part in the run as the team collected five. The defensive play of the Hens was also on point in this run as the team had six steals.

Starting at the 4:51 minute mark, Delaware would outscore the Seahawks 12-10 to take a 17 point lead ( 56-39) into the fourth quarter. The leader during this run was Jewel Smalls, who scored eight of the 12 points.
Hens take home a seven-point win
In the first five minutes of the fourth quarter, the Seahawks would dig into the Blue Hens lead a little bit, as the team outscored Delaware 17-10 to cut the lead to 66-56 with 4:10 left in the game.
UNCW would continue to cut into Delaware’s lead in the remaining minutes of the game, but the comeback attempt came up short as the Hens would hang on to win 73-66.
